Pianist plans performance at Heidelberg

Pianist Zsolt Bogn’r is to bring his romantic piano performance to Heidelberg University at 7 p.m. Saturday in Brenneman Music Hall on campus.

The show, which is free, was rescheduled from its original date in November.

Titled “Beethoven and Schubert in Viennaand,” the program is to include “Three Pieces” by Schubert and Beethoven’s “Sonata No. 6 in F Major,” “Opus 10 No. 2” and “Sonata No. 21 in C Major” (Waldstein).

Bogn’r released his first CD of the works of Schubert and Liszt in 2013.

Recipient of the 2007 Arthur Loesser Prize, Bogn’r is frequently invited to perform chamber music with members of the Cleveland Orchestra and for live NPR broadcast. He has won many international piano

competitions in America and Europe.

Bogn’r also hosts “Living the Classical Life,” a documentary film series of interviews with musicians from around the world.
