Karaoke contest to help Red Cross

Madison Street Tavern is the venue for “Sing for the Red,” a karaoke competition to benefit the American Red Cross of Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties.

Registration opens at 8 p.m. Saturday, with singing from 9-midnight. Registration is $10. A silent auction, games and prizes also are planned.

Wedding showcase coming Sunday

Camden Falls’ wedding showcase is set for noon-3 p.m. Sunday at the reception and conference hall, 2460 S. SR 231. Admission is $3.

Door prizes are to be given away every 30 minutes starting at 12:30 p.m. The grand prize winners are to be named at 2:45 p.m.

First place is $350 cash, plus a free room rental for rehearsal dinner at Carmie’s Grill & Bar. Second place is a free night stay at the Tiffin Hampton Inn and free room rental for rehearsal dinner at Carmie’s Grill & Bar. Third place is a Carmie’s gift card for $50.

Entrants must be engaged and planning a wedding; must be present to win; and must have ID to claim winnings. If the event is booked at Camden Falls, the winner can apply winnings toward that rental.

Variety show to be rescheduled

FREMONT – Fremont Community Theatre’s upcoming variety show, originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, has been postponed due to the inclement weather. New dates are to be announced.

Ritz to screen ‘Rear Window’

“The Golden Age of Hollywood” matinee movie series continues at 2 p.m. Wednesday on the big screen at The Ritz Theatre in Tiffin. The 1954 classic drama, “Rear Window,” is the selection.
