Soul Shine tickets remain

BASCOM – Tickets are still available at $20 each for the Soul Shine Blues Festival Saturday at Meadowbrook Ballroom, Bascom. They can be purchased at First Step Family Resource Center in Fostoria or online at

Online sales end at noon Saturday, but tickets will be available at the door, which opens at 1 p.m. Music is to start at 2 p.m.

Final day for ‘Happy’ viewing

Today is the final day to see “A Strange Brand of Happy” at Carmike 12 in Findlay. The romantic comedy was written and directed by Tiffin native Brad Wise, who now calls Cincinnati home.

Cars and Coffee on tap

Bailiwicks Coffee Co., 62 S. Washington St., is to have another “Cars and Coffee” event 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday.

There is no charge to display a vehicle.

Seneca House to host car show

Sunday from 3:30-5:30 p.m., Seneca House is to host a car show in its yard and parking lot. Anyone can bring a vehicle to the show at no charge, and admission for spectators also is free.

The public is invited to admire hot rods, street rods, customs, classics and muscle cars or trucks. This free show features local classic car favorites, free hot dogs, ice cream, snacks and drinks for everyone.

Tours of Seneca House, 781 Greenfield St., are available.

Ritz seeking teen actors

The Ritz Teen Thespian Guild is to hold open auditions for “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder on the main stage of The Ritz Theatre 4:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

There are more than 30 roles available to area high school students. Auditions are to consist of reading from the script.

Students wishing to work backstage are asked to attend auditions and sign up for construction, painting, props, lights or sound.

Trip to racino offered

Allen Eiry Center is taking reservations for a Nov. 18 bus trip to Scioto Downs Racino in Columbus. The motorcoach is to leave the center at 8 a.m. and return about 6 p.m. The cost is $30, and payment is by check only.

Make out check to Allen Eiry Center and mail to Marilyn Mangano, 22 Towne and Country Drive, Tiffin, OH 44883. Payment is due at the time reservation is made.

Christmas show auditions set

UPPER SANDUSKY – The Star Players has set auditions for its upcoming production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky.

Children and adults are needed. An adult must accompany all children who audition. Production dates are Nov. 22-24.

Zombie Walk staggers to area

BUCYRUS – The Crawford Theatre Co. is organizing a Bucyrus Zombie Walk to benefit The Salvation Army’s food pantry and Crawford County Council on Aging. The walk is Oct. 26.

Registration per person is a non-perishable food item.
