BASCOM – The Bascom Lions is hosting its annual Memorial Day Parade and activities 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
Activities include: 11 a.m., chicken barbecue, Evergreen Building in Meadowbrook Park; 1 p.m., Memorial Day ceremony, Sand Ridge Cemetery, SR 18; 2 p.m., Memorial Day parade, SR 18; and 3 p.m., reception for parade, Evergreen Building in Meadowbrook Park.
Concert band to give show
The North Coast Concert Band is to give a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, in the pavilion at Hedges-Boyer Park.
This is the first installment in the 2013 Summer Concert series. Those attending may bring their own seating.
Series to begin
FREMONT – The 2013 Fremont Concert Series in the Park begins at 7 p.m. Sunday in Birchard Park. The Terra Lab Jazz Thunder Band is to perform.

Museum waxes over weddings
The Seneca County Historical Society is hosting a special luncheon and program, “Wedding Traditions Through the Ages,” 1-3 p.m. June 15 in the Fort Ball Room at the Seneca County Museum, 28 Clay St.

Festival on tap
UPPER SANDUSKY – St. Peter School Summerfest is to run 2-11 p.m. June 8 on the school grounds at Eighth and Finley streets, Upper Sandusky.
Pork chop and barbecue chicken dinners are to be served, as are bratwurst and beer. Rides, bingo and other games are to be available, and the raffle grand prize is $2,500. An auction and live music also are to be offered.
