Columbian splits matchup with PC

PORT CLINTON — Tommy Peer rolled a 388 series Monday to lead Columbian’s boys past Port Clinton 2,361-2,139 at Star Lanes.

Zavier Sherman tacked on a 370 for TC, while Bryan Edler added a 319, Owen Thomsic rolled a 202, Will Heineman had a 153 and Michael Ross bowled a 107. The Tornadoes rolled a 685 in the four Baker games.

For the Redskins, Dylan Smothers had a 359 series. They also got a 324 from Devontae Bates, a 286 from Rok Scott, a 179 by Jacob Shipp and a 124 from Brennan Barnett. Port Clinton bowled a 633 in the Baker games.

Port Clinton’s girls beat TC 1,586-1,440.

Asta Strader led PC with a 310, while Haley Marquez had a 239, Doris Huskey rolled a 231, Sierra Holbrook had a 207 and PC’s last score was a 162.

The Redskins rolled a 437 for the Baker games.

Danielle Rosenbauer led TC with a 323 series. TC also got a 275 from Ainsley Sherman, a 261 by Jenna Bonnell and a 181 from Alexis Stansbery. TC rolled a 400 for the Baker games.

Chieftains drain 14 3’s in 70-point rout

BASCOM — Hopewell-Loudon made three more 3-pointers than Mohawk had total field goals in a 97-27 dismantling of the Warriors in non-league play Monday night.

H-L led 38-7 after the opening quarter and upped the lead to 59-12 at the half.

Olivia Zender — who drained seven of the team’s 14 treys — led H-L with 25 points, six assists and four rebounds. The Chieftains also got 24 points, eight steals and three assists from Kaia Woods, 21 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and six steals by MaKayla Elmore and 11 points from Morgan Searles.

Emma Thiery dropped in six points for the Warriors, while Aubrie Harper and Bailey Sheets each added five.

Knights run away from Redmen

FOSTORIA — Otsego had four players score in double figures Monday in an 81-40 Northern Buckeye Conference win over Fostoria.

Hannah Smoyer led the winners with 17 points, while Brynne Limes tallied 16 points, Taylor Cepek added 14 points and Kylie Brinkman finished with 10 points.

Otsego led Fhs 20-11 after one quarter and then led 41-15 at the half.

Carmen Castro poured in 12 points for the Redmen. They also got eight points from Imani Velazquez and seven points by Jennifer Chasco.

Big 2nd quarter lifts Blue Devils

OLD FORT — Carey led just 9-6 after the first stop Monday, but then opened up the game at Old Fort with a 21-7 second period to coast to a 42-31 non-league win.

Ady Stewart led the Blue Devils (13-6) with 13 points, while Sadie Arend tacked on 10 points and Avarie Stewart finished with six points.

Ashlyn Magers led the Stockaders (11-10) with nine points. Jordan Reineck added seven points and Chloe Wilkinson ended with six points and six rebounds.
