COACHING HONOR: Carey will honor the coaching legacy of assistant Rick DeMoss between the junior varsity and varsity games Jan. 30 with New Riegel. DeMoss is a 1966 Old Fort graduate who coached 35 years at New Riegel and is an assistant at Carey.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Quin Ronski scored 14 points, Ethan Sauber had 13 and Bob Price 10 for Calvert in a 52-51 win over Old Fort. Isaac Snyder had 20 for the Stockaders.

* New Riegel beat Fremont St. Joe 29-17.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Ridgedale 24-4 in a game that lasted two quarters.

* Carey beat Mohawk 30-18.

* Columbian beat Perkins 39-25, behind 16 points from Lexi Smith and nine from Olivia Harvey

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade beat Sandusky St. Mary 82-28, getting 20 points from Isaiah Perez, 16 from Daniel Steyer and 10 each from Blake Bender, Konnor Ernsberger and Carter DuBuois.

* Sandusky St. Mary’s seventh grade beat Old Fort 43-26. Tyson Frisch and Ryan Adelsperger both scored nine points for Old Fort.

* Wynford’s seventh grade beat Seneca East 36-21. CJ Ramsey and Taylor Young combined for 14 points for Seneca East.

* Wynford’s eighth grade beat Seneca East 34-23. Caden Bumb scored 11 points for Seneca East.

* Brayden Cleveland scored 11 points and Connor Flood had 10 to key Mohawk’s seventh grade in a 40-27 win against Upper Sandusky. Kaleb Bish and Hunter Haynes each added six points for the Warriors, Ben Bogner netted four and Hayden Parker had three.

* Upper Sandusky’s eighth grade beat Mohawk 54-38. Travis Geary and Cody Coppus each had 12 points for Mohawk, Gavin Barth had 10 and Derek Dickman had 4.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Seneca East’s eighth grade beat Wynford 36-28. Olivia Stockmaster led scoring with 16 points for Seneca East and Leah Drown followed with 14.
