Three all-Ohioans for Tigers

Seneca East, who went 10-2 and won the Northern 10 Athletic Conference title, had three selections on the all-Ohio team in Division VI when the team was released Sunday evening.

Carey’s Bryce Conti was also selected in Division VI, and on the Division VII team was Mohawk junior Tyler Hayman, who was on the second-team defense.

The three Tigers, who all were on the third team, were Chase Foos (offense), Blake Jones (offense) and Logan Hicks (defense).

Foos, a senior quarterback, threw for 2,355 yards with 23 touchdowns this season, leading the Tigers to the regional semifinal. He also rushed for 413 yards with four scores.

Jones was an intricate part of the offense on the line as the Tigers had the best offense in the N10. Hicks made 68 tackles, including 19.5 for a loss and he led the N10 in sacks with 11.

Conti, a sophomore defensive back, had two fumble recoveries and was tied for the league lead in interceptions with eight.

Hayman recorded six picks for the Warriors.
