Davis fuels Riverdale rally against Warriors
SYCAMORE — Brock Davis scored 10 of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter Tuesday to spark Riverdale’s 54-51 win against Mohawk.
Davis had just four points in the first half, but his Falcons rallied from an 18-10 deficit at the end of the first quarter to trail just 26-23 entering halftime.
He popped in 10 of his team’s 22 points in the third period to help Riverdale (1-1) go up 45-39 and the Falcons held on from there.
Trysten Mix and Coby Miller each added nine points for Riverdale.
Landen Snyder netted 16 points for the Warriors (1-1), Hunter Gottfried had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Austin Tusing scored 11 points.
Big Red boots Tigers
PLYMOUTH — Walker Elliott poured in 25 points Tuesday and three teammates combined for 38 as Plymouth downed Seneca East 67-53.
Elliott netted 16 of his points in the second half for the Big Red (2-0).
Brody Brown followed with 18 points, Zeth Goth tossed in 12 and Josh Cox scored eight.
Andrew Kalb’s 17 points keyed the Tigers (0-1) and Andy Bauman scored 15. No other Seneca East player had more than five points.
