RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for varsity high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m. All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Turn in results via email at sports@advertiser-tribune.com, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

MEET CANCELED: Upper Sandusky’s Dec. 14 swim meet with Margaretta has been canceled.

BOWLING: Greg Elchert rolled the high series with a 547 and the high game with a 201 in the 55-Plus League at K of C Lanes. Jim Ruess had a 507 series, followed by Bill Mizen (495), Jerry Gillig (481), Paul Fey (472) and Rob Reinhart (472). Fey had a 195 game and Gillig rolled a 192.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Willard 45-40.

* Hopewell-Loudon defeated Central Crossing 54-52 to open the season. Dan Lommerse paced the Chieftains with 13 points while Bryce Arbogast, Gabe Dohanyos and Braden Finsel all added eight.

* Mohawk beat New Riegel 73-28. A.J. Hess scored 19 points for Mohawk and Xavier Oesch had nine.

* Isaac Snyder scored 14 points and Jonah Englehart had 10 to spark Old Fort’s 51-25 win against Wynford.
