Redmen claim boys quadrangular
BELLEVUE — Bellevue’s boys had four runners finish in the top 10 and another end just outside it Thursday en route to winning a four-team meet Thursday.
The Redmen beat Calvert 35-49, followed by Sandusky (65) and Margaretta (80).
Cayden Adams won the meet for Bellevue in 17:26, Ryan Cleveland came in sixth (18:43) and Paul Coffelt (19:03) and Cody Kile (19:29) crossed the line eighth and ninth. David Lugo added an 11th (19:50).
Derek Horvath (12th, 19:54) and Devin Teill (16th, 20:15) rounded out Bellevue’s varsity.
Garrett Spaun’s fifth (18:41) sparked the runner-up Senecas, Nick Palm took seventh (18:45), Kaylor Reynolds ran 10th (19:38), and Chris Laney (20:03) and Keegan Meyer (20:09) finished 13th and 14th.
Ethan Sauber (19th, 20:43) and Aaron Riehm (38th, 24:19) also ran for Calvert.
Only two schools had enough runners to qualify as teams in the girls meet, with Margaretta edging Bellevue 25-30.
Bellevue’s Rylee Bollenbacher won the individual race in 21:38 and teammate Vanessa Shanaman took second in 21:49.
Lilli Ray (23:25), Hope Alda (23:46) and Courtney Fox (24:02) ran ninth through 11th for Bellevue. Megan Verhoff (14th, 24:14) and Grace Booze (16th, 25:39) completed Bellevue’s varsity.
Calvert’s Kassidy Reynolds ended 12th (24:24).
