Dull leads All-SBC golf selections for champion Raiders
Since Lakota doesn’t have a girls team, junior Kyleigh Dull — who qualified for state for the third year in a row — plays on the boys team for the Raiders.
Dull was a first-team All-SBC River selection, leading the Raiders to a SBC title in points over Fremont St. Joe, 26-24, when the all-league teams were released Wednesday.
Old Fort sophomore Andrew Combs joined Dull on the first team.
Dull’s teammate Connor Hill and Old Fort’s Adam Magers, Carson Steyer and Kaleb Wilkinson all were second-team selections.
Colin Nutter (Old Fort), Marshall Minich (Lakota), Jayden Bonnell (Lakota), Luke Graham (H-L), Jacob Theis (New Riegel) and Sam Whipple (New Riegel) all were honorable mention.
In the Lake Division, Bellevue’s Hudson Strayer and Alex Martinez were second-team selections, while Columbian’s Griffin Bunting joined them.
Honorable mentions were Brenton Brown (Columbian), Adam Hosang (Bellevue) and Jacob Lee (Clyde).
On the girls’ side, Bellevue had three girls on the first team in the Lake Division. Lara Spurlock, who is headed to state, Olivia Martinez and Keyara Schneider are the Lady Red players. Clyde’s Brooke Newsome joined them on the first team.
Clyde’s Margaret Hilliker and Columbian’s Meredith Obringer and Ali Woessner were second-team selections and the honorable mentions were Grace Pocock (Clyde) and Tea Layne (Bellevue).
