Upper Sandusky comeback falls short vs. Mustangs

UPPER SANDUSKY — Allen East jumped on Upper Sandusky 2-0 in the first 10 minutes of the contest Tuesday.

However, the Rams battled back top tie the match early in the second half, but the Mustangs netted another two goals to win, 4-2.

Braylen Kennedy and Malachi Blackman each scored for Allen East (2-3-1) in the opening half to give the Mustangs a 2-0 advantage.

Upper Sandusky’s Austin McLane scored at the 10:24 mark off an assist from William Shumaker to end the first half.

Austin Andrews knotted the match at 2 with a goal for the Rams (1-6-1), but Silas Gillespie and Blackma added the two goals late for the Mustangs.

Kyle Newland made six saves in net for the Mustangs, while Anson Hill made four for the Rams.
