Forehand’s 33 fuels Seneca East over Carey

Jake Forehand tallied three birdies on his way to a 33 Wednesday to boost Seneca East by Carey 146-160 in a pivotal Northern 10 Athletic Conference matchup at Clinton Heights.

For the Tigers (8-0 N10), Turner Bridgford added a 35, Andy Bauman recorded a 38 and Andrew Kalb finished with the scoring with a 40. Nolan Jones shot a 44 and Jon Margraf finished with a 47.

McKain Miller fired a 37 for Carey (6-2). The Blue Devils also got a 39 from Ethan Tanner and 42s by Kole Phillips and Brayden Miller. Carter Frederick and Peyton Vaughn shot twin 45s.

Rockets squeak by Tornadoes

Columbian’s Ali Woessner posted the best score Wednesday at Mohawk Country Club, but after the Tornadoes and Oak Harbor both shot a 206, the Rockets had the better fifth score to win the tiebreaker in non-league play.

Hannah Genzman led the Rockets (8-3) with a 47, while Trista Chasteen added a 52, Delany Hayes had a 53 and Lauren St. Clair shot a 54. The fifth deciding golfer was Madison Glaser with a 55.

Woessner fired a medalist round of 45 for TC (3-9). Bailey Hull tacked on a 51, Norah Smith carded a 53 and Meredith Obringer rounded out the scoring with a 57. Audrey Buskirk also posted a 57 and Carly Marie Beck ended with a 64.

Blue Jackets win SBC River tri

New Riegel’s Jacob Theis tied for medalist with a 40 to lead the Blue Jackets to a 172-174 win over Old Fort, while Danbury shot a 185 in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division tri-match at Seneca Hills.

Sam Whipple added a 41 for the Blue Jackets (8-12). they also got a 43 from Carson Whipple and a 48 by Brandon Seifert. Dalton Reinhart (49) and Eric Theis (50) also played.

Kaleb Wilkinson and Adam Magers carded twin 43s for the Stockaders, while Carson Steyer and Colin Nutter each shot a 44. Andrew Combs added a 45 and Alec King 50.

Grayson Clark led the Lakers with a 40.

Bucks get 5th league win

NEW WASHINGTON — Alex Kanney delivered a 37 for Buckeye Central in a 162-188 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory at Cranberry Hills.

Jarod Mason chipped in a 40 for the Bucks (5-3 N10), while Tyler rose added a 42 and Justin Dentinger shot a 43. Logan Niese (44) and Kaiden Vaughn (49) also competed for the Bucks.

Jesse Schertzer led the Rockets with a 39. They also got a 44 from Xander ruth, a 52 from AJ Comer and a 53 by Braxton Fosnaugh.
