GOLF: Alex Scheiber and Jake Holmer defeated Chris Bentz and Kory Staib 12-8 in the finals of the Wednesday Night Baumann’s-Lofay Construction Two-Man Scramble at Clinton Heights.

n Tom Company, Dave Welly, Brad Hess and Jim Heyman shot 13 under to beat out 15 other teams in the Bump’s Traveling Group Outing at Green Hills. Rod Garretson, Ed Otte, Gary Swope, and Howard Elchert took second at 9 under. George Wolph and Dick Best won the closest to the pin contests. Next week’s outing is at Clinton Heights Golf Club, beginning at 10 a.m. Players should register by 9:40 a.m., with drawing of teams beginning at 9:45 a.m.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL: Old Fort upended Sandusky St. Mary 25-16, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play. Savannah McCoy led the winners with 25 digs and 10 kills, Emily Hull had 22 assists and four digs, Grace Wasserman slammed 13 kills and Emily Blankenship (2 aces) had 13 assists and three digs. Ashlyn Magers (2 aces) added 21 digs for the Stockaders (9-8, 7-5 SBC), Kara Davdison drilled kills kills, Chloe Wilkinson (2 kills) had six digs, Jordan Reineck added five digs, Christa Kuhn lined four kills and MarcQue Harris ahd three digs.

n Hopewell-Loudon beat Gibsonburg 25-15, 25-12, 25-11, thanks to Abbi Roerdink’s 26 assists and three aces and Petyon Hoover’s 14 digs and eight kills. Grace Dohanyos (2 aces) added 10 digs for the Chieftains, Megan Kreais clubbed eight kills, Hope Kreais lined six kills, Abbe Beidelschies had six digs and Hannah Welly added two kills and two blocks.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Buckeye Central beat Seneca East 25-12, 25-5.

n Liberty-Benton beat Columbian 25-14, 25-17.

n Samantha Wellman had eight digs and Kate Laney chipped in seven assists, six digs, five aces and three kills as Calvert beat Fremont St. Joe 25-11, 25-13. Kelsey Shiley added seven assists, Maddie Schumacher lined five kills and Frannie Webb and Leah Renninger both slammed three kills.

n Hopewell-Loudon beat Gibsonburg 25-21, 12-25, 26-24. Allie Milligan gave H-L nine assists and six aces, Raylee Baker slammed six kills and three blocks, Haley Weaver had six digs, Alex Jackson lined five kills and Taryn Hampton tallied five digs and four aces.

n Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 25-15, 25-13. Alyssa Hoerig (2 kills) tallied 11 assists and three aces for Old Fort, Faith Miller (2 aces) lined five kills, Jaislynn Woodall (2 aces) chipped in five assists and three kills, Madison Nesselhauf registered three kills and three digs and Jillian Stover belted three kills.

n Upper Sandusky beat Carey 25-16, 29-31, 25-15.

n Mohawk beat Colonel Crawford 25-23, 25-19. Emma Golling came up with 15 digs for Mohawk, Lily Hammer had 12 digs, Kennedy Cleveland registered six assists, five digs and four kills and Ella Hoover (2 assists) had five digs and four kills.

JV TENNIS: Clyde’s Alyssa Eisenhower, Gabby Castillo, Amber Fay, Niki Hagemeyer and Becca Clapp each won matches against Sandusky.

n Bellevue’s Amber Bischoff and Emily Swiger won a doubles match 6-0 against Fremont Ross, while Cierra Robinson dropped a singles match 6-5.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Liberty-Benton beat Columbian 25-15, 25-14.

n Fremont St. Joe beat Calvert 25-18, 25-21. Ashleynn Deats tallied six kills and six digs for Calvert, Lydia Ardner had six assists and six digs and Cassandra Immele served four aces.

n Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 25-13, 25-20, thanks to Kennedy Guth’s 11 digs and two kills. Molly Kupka added seven assists and five aces, Brooke Withrow had five kills and five digs and Cameron Cleveland chipped in five assists and four kills.

* Upper Sandusky beat Carey 25-12, 25-10.

* Mohawk battled past Colonel Crawford 25-23, 25-23. Brooklen Helton paced Mohawk with 10 digs and five kills and Shelby Danner had seven digs.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Fremont St. Joe beat Calvert’s seventh 25-17, 25-16. Addison King served seven aces for Calvert, Alison Ott added two assists and two kills and Shelby Michaels served two aces.

* Calvert’s eighth grade beat Fremont St. Joe 25-9, 25-20, thanks to Allison Porter’s eight kills and four assists, and Olivia Miller’s eight assists and three kills. Camryn Shook and Caroline Lanicek both lined five kills for Calvert and Cecelia Palm tossed up four assists.

n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Gibsonburg 25-19, 25-10. Sidney Brickner handed out eight assists for H-L, Ashlyn Walters lined seven kills, Brynn Sendelbach served six aces, Olivia Bishop belted five kills and Addison Siebenaller served three aces.

Lydia Walters registered 14 assists and four aces for H-L, Alaina Jones slammed seven aces, Carley Corffman clubbed seven kills and three aces, Isabelle Beidelschies tallied six digs and four kills, Kendall Eilrich had four aces and four digs, Anna Daniel (2 digs) pounded four kills and Soleil Clagg came up with four digs.
