RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m. All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Turn in results via E-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.
JV TENNIS: Bellevue picked up three doubles wins against Norwalk. Alivia Hamons and Maddie Coarrado won 6-0, Cameron Beltran and Dakota Zerman won 6-3, and Alondra Rita and Allie Henderson won 6-1.
n Clyde’s Amber Fay and Niki Hagemeyer each won a singles match against Columbian.
JV VOLLEYBALL: Bellevue beat Columbian 25-8, 25-21. Jenna Bonnell drilled three aces and three kills for Columbian.
n Otsego beat Fostoria 25-8, 25-5
n Mohawk beat Seneca East 21-25, 25-6, 25-11. Kennedy Cleveland led the victors with 15 assists, eight digs and five kills, Emily Klopp drilled 12 kills and six blocks, Emma Golling had nine digs and four kills and Bailey Sheets added nine digs and four assists.
n Old Fort defeated Hopewell-Loudon 25-11, 25-14. Alyssa Hoerig (2 kills) had nine assists for Old Fort, Breanna Hoerig (2 aces) added nine digs, Madison Nesselhauf lined five kills, Faith Miller served four aces, Jaislynn Woodall drilled two aces and two kills, and Katie Reiter and Brooke Withrow both belted two kills. Hopewell-Loudon got six digs from Allie Milligan (2 kills), four kills from Raylee Baker (2 digs), four digs from Ashley Daniel and three assists from Grace Hoover.
n Buckeye Central beat Carey 25-21, 18-25, 27-25.
n Calvert dropped Willard 25-23, 25-16, getting 14 assists, 13 digs and four kills from Kate Laney. Samantha Wellman added 16 digs for the Senecas, Kelsey Shiley (2 aces) had 13 assists and Frannie Webb (2 solo blocks) lined four kills.
FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Mohawk beat Seneca East 25-15, 25-23 on the strength of Molly Zender’s seven assists and two aces and Ella Moyer’s four aces. Grace Manning gave Seneca East six aces and five kills and Katelyn Best had four assists and two aces.
n Carey beat Buckeye Central 25-21, 26-24.
n Calvert turned back Willard 25-20, 25-18. Madyson Deats came up with 15 digs for Calvert, Bradleigh Meier had 13 digs and seven kills, Ashlynn Deats added 13 digs, Kayce Clouse served eight aces, Lydia Ardner handed out five assists, Kendal Krzyzak belted two solo blocks and two block assists, and Cassandra Immele lined two block assists.
JV GOLF: Perkins beat Columbian 205-243. Mason Garcia led Columbian with a 58, Brock Rudolph shot a 60, Blaise Wagner had a 61 and Andrew Engle ended with a 64. Jimmy Skidmore (66) and Isaac Stover (77) also played for TC.
