Brett Montgomery’s 32 leads Upper Sandusky in N10 quad victory
FOSTORIA — Upper Sandusky’s Brett Montgomery torched Lakeland Monday with four birdies on his way to a 32 to lead the Rams to a 156-160 win over Carey, while Mohawk and Arcadia both had a 160.
Owen Knapp added a 40 for the Rams (10-2, 6-1 N10), while Gavin Carey and Evan Young shot twin 42s. Ben Latham shot a 45 and Ethan Collins finished with a 48.
Ethan Tanner fired a 37 for the Blue Devils (15-1). They also got 41s from Carter Frederick, McKain Miller and Brayden Miller. Kole Phillips (43) and Peyton Young (48) also competed for Carey. Austin Tusing and Reese Hannam each shot a 43 for the Warriors (1-6). Kael Margraf posted a 46 and Brody Dennerman shot a 48. Owen England recorded a 53 and Brock Brause ended with a 57.
Casey Cramer’s 39 led the Redskins (6-7).
Tornadoes edge Sailors
Brenton Brown led Columbian with a 40 Monday as the Tornadoes slipped past Vermilion 179-181 in Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division play at Mohawk Country Club.
Cole Routzahn tacked on a 45 for TC (3-5 SBC Lake), while Griffin Bunting shot a 46 (birdie on No. 3) and Zavier Sherman posted a 48. Collin Anway and Hayden Carter shot twin 49s.
Brock Fisher led Vermilion with a 41. The Sailors also got a 45 from Josh DiFucci, a 47 by Evan Humphrey and a 48 from Carter Klausing.
H-L drops St. Mary
by 40 strokes
FOSTORIA — Kiley Cline led Hopewell-Loudon with a 40 as the Chieftains blew by Sandusky St. Mary 206-246 in Sandusky Bay Conference play at Loudon Meadows.
Following Cline was Morgan Searles (50), Emma Kidd (56) and Abbey Yarris (60) for the Chieftains (6-6). Hannah Fought shot a 64 and Kasey Thompson finished with a 67.
Leighann Rotsingea and Amanda Millis both fired a 56 for the Panthers. Lucy Sema added a 64 and Marisa Serna ended with a 70.
Bellevue handles TC
Bellevue had just one score in the 50s Monday in a 182-219 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division victory against Columbian at Mohawk Country Club.
Lara Spurlock led everyone with a 42 for the Lady Red, while Olivia Martinez chipped in a 44, Keyara Schneider added a 45 and Isabel Sanchez shot a 51. Tea Lyn (51) and Kendall Collins (52) also played for Bellevue.
Meredith Obringer came in with a 49 for TC (3-8). Ali Woessner had a 51, Norah Smith shot a 59 and Bailey Hull finished with a 60. Audrey Buskirk had a 62 and Carly Marie Beck recorded a 66.
Tigers boot Redmen
BUCYRUS — Turner Bridgford carded a 37 to lead Seneca East to 7-0 in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference after a 159-178 win over Bucyrus at Bucyrus Golf Club.
Jake Forehand added a 38, Andy Bauman shot a 40 and Andrew Kalb registered a 44. Jon Margraf (46) also played for the Tigers.
Lakota takes SBC River tri
CLYDE — Ethan Longoria and Kyleigh Dull each shot under 40 to lead Lakota to a 163-177 win over Old Fort, while Gibsonburg had 213 in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division tri-match at Green Hills.
Longoria posted a 38, while Dull shot a 39 for the Raiders. Jayden Bonnell added a 42 and Connor Hill shot a 44. Colt Dible had a 45 and Marshall Minich scored a 52.
Kalen Wilkinson carded a 43 for the Stockaders. They also got a 44 from Adam Magers and 45s by Carson Steyer and Alec King. Andrew Combs and Colin Nutter shot twin 47s.
Mitchel Delventhal recorded a 48 for the Golden Bears.
St. Joe gets to 12-0
FREMONT — Garrett Michael and Lance Emrich shot twin 37s for Fremont St. Joe in a 154-182 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division victory over New Riegel at Sycamore Hills.
Blake Michael chipped in a 38 and Cole Stull shot a 42 for the Streaks (12-0). Parker Smith (44) and Ricky Geyer (46) both played for St. Joe.
Carson Whipple’s 43 led the Blue Jackeys (6-10). They also got a 44 from Jacob Theis, a 47 by Dalton Reinhart and a 48 from Brandon Seifert. Eric Theis shot a 52 and Sam Whipple carded a 53.
Rams blank Bulldogs
UPPER SANDUSKY — Cortni Brown recorded a shutout in net for Upper Sandusky in a 3-0 win for the Rams in NCOSA play.
She stopped 10 shots in net for the Rams, who improved to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the NCOSA.
Anna Gerber scored in the 25th minute in the first half off a Mia Norris and Riley Messersmith assist, while Hannah Windau tacked on another goal with three minutes remaining in the half to give the Rams a 2-0 halftime advantage.
Gerber tallied her second goal in the second half on a Mia Norris assist. Gerber also had an assist on the Windau goal.
Blue Streaks rout Tornadoes
Sandusky ran away with a 9-1 Sandusky Bay Conference win over Columbian Monday.
Columbian’s goal came from Adam Schermer in the seventh minnute off an assist from Xavier Coppus.
Evan Schleter made eight saves in goal for TC, while DJ Sherck also had four saves. Kylen Coopshaw led the defensive effort.
Poling’s two goals enough for Ada
UPPER SANDUSKY — Ada’s Jacob Poling scored an unassisted goal in each half Monday in a 2-0 win over Upper Sandusky in NCOSA action.
Grant Preston made six saves in net for the Bulldogs (5-2-1, 1-0 NCOSA), while Anson Hill saved five shots for the Rams (1-5-1, 0-2).
Buckeye Valley sweeps Rams
DELAWARE — Upper Sandusky got to just one three-set match in a 5-0 loss at Buckeye Valley Monday.
At singles, Buckeye Valley’s Ana Lenhart dropped Saki Fukuta 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, while Kaylie Swanger upended Lauren Schoenberger 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 and Megan Shearer beat Adrian Malone 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3.
It was more of the same at doubles as BV’s No. 1 doubles team of Gianna Gannett and Evalynn Gannett topped Mara Smalley and Sarah Scott 6-4, 4-6, 7-5, while the No. 2 team of Autumn Casey and Emily Mandison defeated Hannah Frey and Jada Manns 6-2, 6-2.
“Our girls played better than we have in recent matches although the scores don’t show it,” Rams coach Aaron Frazee said. “Buckeye Valley has really good depth and are a pretty good team.”
