St. Joe blows by New Riegel
Fremont St. Joe’s Garrett Michael tore up Seneca Hills Wednesday with a 35 to lead the Streaks to a 156-191 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division victory over New Riegel.
Lance Emrich had a 39 for St. Joe (5-0), while Blake Michael added a 40 and Cole Stull finished with a 42. Parker Smith (49) and Ricky Geyer (50) also played.
For New Riegel (3-4), Jacob Theis fired a 41. It also got a 48 from Dalton Reinhart and 51s by Carson Whipple and Sam Whipple. Eric Theis shot a 54 and Brandon Seifert ended with a 57.
Lady Red set
OAK HARBOR — Lara Spurlock set a couple records in the first week of the season for Bellevue. This time, it was a team record in a 168-195 non-league win against Oak Harbor at Oak Harbor Golf Course Wednesday.
The 168 is a school record for nine holes.
Spurlock had a 41, which was two shots behind medalist Olivia Martinez, but she did sink a hole-in-one on No. 9.
Isabel Sanchez added another 41 and Keyara Schneider recorded a 47.
The Lady Red are 6-0.
Cline’s 43 boosts Chieftains
FOSTORIA — Kiley Cline hasn’t slowed down a bit for Hopewell-Loudon this season as she fired a 43 Wednesday to lead the Chieftains to a 213-269 victory against Willard at Fostoria Country Club.
Morgan Searles shot a 56 for H-L (4-3), while Emma Kidd tacked on a 54 and Hannah Fought ended with a 60. Abbey Yarris posted a 61 and Kasey Thompson had a 74.
Allison Beebe’s 63 led Willard. Tatum Combs (65), Marissa Rojas (67) and Lauryn Stover (74) also played.
Columbian gets 1st win
Meredith Obringer carded a 49 to lead Columbian to a 212-240 non-league win over Port Clinton at Mohawk Country Club.
Ali Woessner added a 50 for TC (1-4). Bailey Hull fired a 52 and Norah Smith rounded out the scoring with a 61. Audrey Buskirk shot a 62 and Carly Marie Beck finished with a 65.
Claire Snyder’s 58 led the charge for Port Clinton (1-5). It also got a 59 from Lilly Spieldenner, a 61 by Sydney Moore and a 62 from Aubrianna Wylie.
Warriors drop Bucks
NEW WASHINGTON — Brooklyn Adkins’ 50 led Ontario to a 236-270 win against Buckeye Central at Cranberry Hills.
Grace Miller tacked on a 53 for the Warriors.
Eva Lewis led BC with a 63, while Megan Rhodes (66), Izzy Niedermier (69), Cadence Vaughn (72) and Emilee Brown (74) also played for the Bucks.
