Lakota 2nd, OF 4th at Wildcat Invite

BOWLING GREEN — Lakota’s Ethan Longoria fired a 79 to help his Raiders finish runner-up in the Wildcat Invitational played at Stone Ridge.

Overall, Pettisville topped Lakota 328-346, while Old Fort had a 352 (fourth), Carey shot a 367 (sixth), Hopewell-Loudon carded a 383 (ninth) and New Riegel was right behind the Chieftains with a 402.

Backing Longoria for the Raiders were Colt Dible (82), Connor Hill (91) and Jayden Bonnell (94). Marshall Minich also shot a 94 for Lakota.

Old Fort was led by Carson Steyer’s 84. It also got 89s from Andrew Combs and Colin Nutter, while Adam Magers and Kaleb Wilkinson recorded 90s.

Ethan Tanner carded an 86 for the Blue Devils, while teammate McKain Miller was right on his tail with an 87. Brayden Miller shot a 96 and Cole Phillips and Carter Frederick both ended with a 98.

For H-L, Layne Myers led the way with a 90, while Owen Schumm tacked on a 97 and Gabe Dohanyos and Luke Graham added 98s. Tyson Swanagan (112) also competed for the Chieftains.

Jacob Theis led the Blue Jackets with a 98. They also received a 99 from Brandon Seifert, a 102 from Carson Whipple and a 103 from Sam Whipple. Eric Theis (104) and Dalton Reinhart (106) also played.

Redmen 12th, Fliers 17th at Port Clinton Classic

PORT CLINTON — Genoa blew away the competition Wednesday at Catawba Island Club with a 334 as a team to win the Port Clinton Golf Classic.

Bellevue was 12th with a 392 and Clyde posted a 418, which was good enough for 17th.

For the Redmen, Alex Martinez registered a 98, while Hudson Strayer carded a 90, Hayden Foos scored a 100 and Adam Hosang shot a 104. Layne Krupp shot a 112.

Gavin Gill, Max Yates and Jacob Lee all shot a 103 for the Fliers, while Mason Gurney had a 109. Garrett Wiseman finished with a 110.
