Rams win N10 title

UPPER SANDUSKY — Behind a seven-run first inning to get Upper Sandusky going Thursday, the Rams topped Wynford 10-0 in five innings to win the Northern 10 Athletic Conference.

Bucyrus can share the Rams’ title if it wins its last two games.

The Rams (17-7, 14-2 N10) got a triple, double, single and four RBIs from winning pitcher Alivia Oney. Jordan Franz added three singles and scored a run.

Oney (14-3) in the circle allowed just two hits in five innings of work.

Falcons top Tornadoes

Columbian ended its season with a 5-3 non-league loss Thursday to Riverdale.

The Tornadoes led 3-1 after five innings, but the Falcons plated four runs in the top of the sixth to get the victory.

Carly Schafer tallied three singles for TC, Ava Sarka hammered a home run and drove in two runs and Abby Chapman doubled.

Chapman started in the pitching circle, going 4 2/3 innings. She allowed two runs on six hits, while striking out seven and walking four. Haileigh Kutscher pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief and suffered the loss. She gave up three runs on two hits.

Wildcats take down Redmen in slugfest

FOSTORIA — Fostoria led Woodmore 7-0 after a seven-run second inning, but the Wildcats were just getting started as they topped the Redmen 26-15 in Northern Buckeye Conference play.

Woodmore scored seven runs in the third and plated 11 runs in the sixth.

With the help of nine Fostoria errors, Woodmore only out-hit FHS 18-17.

Sydnie Buhrows had a pair of singles for Woodmore, Katelyn Marshall homered and singled, Sophie Blausey lined a pair of doubles and Autumn Foos ended with a pair of singles.

For Fostoria (4-16-1, 1-10 NBC), Kyah Talley collected a double, three singles and four RBIs, Meredith Grine tripled, hit two singles and drove in three runs, Angelina Puente had a home run, a single and two RBIs and Raelynn Hoffman finished with a double, a single and two RBIs.

Delany Habiltzel was the winning pitcher, while Kaybriauna Kleinmark took the loss.
