Fliers slip past Arrows

CLYDE — Clyde swept the doubles contests and Daniel Stevens breezed through his singles match Monday to push the Fliers past Ashland 3-2.

Jacob Strudthoff and James Dry gave Clyde (17-2) a 7-6 (9), 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles against Ryan Frazee and Andrew Fumess.

Fliers Logan Nicely and David Hohenstein doubled up Will Long and Parker Harris 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 doubles.

Stevens downed Isaac Haynes 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

The Arrows’ wins came from Nolan Glazier beating Alex Caillet 7-6 (2), 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Jack Shultz upending Ethan Keegan 5-7, 6-1, 10-8 at No. 3.
