Upper Sandusky dominates N10 tri-meet

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Upper Sandusky boys and girls track teams won a combined 28 events in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference tri-meet with Ridgedale and Buckeye Central Monday.

The boys won the meet 110-30 over Ridgedale, while BC had 17 points. The girls had 105 points, while the Rockets had 31 and BC ended with 20.

In the boys meet, Upper Sandusky won the 4×800, 4×200, 4×100 and 4×400 relays. The 4×8 (9:03.03) included Emery Pahl, Kameryn Webb, Micah Harris and Troy Mawer, while the 4×2 (1:41.5) was Allans Ramos, Kevin Dong, Owen Rothlisberger and Owen Mawer, the 4×1 (49.71) included Ramos, Webb, Alex Ayala and Rothlisberger and the 4×4 (3:51.39) was Pahl, Trevor Clifford, Owen Mawer and Skylar Field.

Other wins included Nate McMillan in the 110 hurdles (17.28), Ramos in the 100 (11.69) and 200 (25.19), Webb in the 1,600 (5:02.44) and 800 (2:18.71), Clifford in the 400 (52.97) and high jump (5-8), Owen Mawer in the 300 hurdles (46.61), Eric Bils in the shot put (44-1) and discus (115-6) and Gage Frey in the pole vault (11-6).

Buckeye Central’s Troy Green won the long jump, leaping 15-5 ¾.

In the girls meet, the Rams also swept the relays as the winning 4×8 (11:27.62) team was Maya Collins, Anna Johnson, Madelyn Shasteen and Claire Swavel. The 4×2 (1:56) was made up of Kenedi Hayden, Chloe Taylor, Emma Brown and Gracie Manns, while the 4×1 (58.25) was Keyanna Kail, Kendra Conley, Katie Conley and Cortni Brown and the 4×4 (4:39.26) was the team of Taylor, Brown, Hayden and Manns.

Other wins for the Rams included Hayden in the 100 hurdles (13.25) and 300 hurdles (51.59), Manns in the 100 (13.25) and 200 (27.83), Swavel in the 3,200 (14:23.40), Natalie Rossman in the shot put (29-4), Sydney Ham in the discus (88-7), Shasteen in the long jump (13-3 ½), Katie Conley in the high jump (4-8) and Kendra Conley in the pole vault (9-0).

Buckeye Central’s Lexi Evak won the 400 in 1:04.34, while teammate Katie Hagerty won the 1,600 in a time of 6:03.81.
