Foul shots fuel Rams
NORTH ROBINSON — Upper Sandusky made just 10 field goals Friday, but the Rams more than made up for it at the foul line.
Alivia Oney scored all but two of her 12 points on foul shots to spark Upper Sandusky’s 51-43 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win against Colonel Crawford.
Oney ended 10 for 11 at the line to help the Rams (9-4, 7-2 N10) turn in a 27-for-37 free throw effort. All 10 of their points in the fourth quarter came on foul shots, and they had just one field goal in the second half.
Alexis Fogle led everyone with 19 points for the Rams and Madison McLaughlin added 10. Fogle also snared four steals and Oney had three assists.
Allison Tegolovic topped the Eagles (8-5, 4-5) with 16 points and Kaylyn Risner added eight.
Bowerman-led Tigers drop Carey
CAREY — Jessica Bowerman had a double-double and helped Seneca East own the boards in Friday’s 52-39 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win against Carey.
Bowerman sparked the Tigers (13-1, 9-0 N10) with 12 points and 19 rebounds. Seneca East held a 39-26 advantage in rebounding.
Emily Siesel led everyone with 15 points for the Tigers and Marina Adachi netted 11.
The Blue Devils got 14 points and five rebounds from Alaina Tiell. Hannah Lonsway scored 10 points.
