COLUMBIAN: Columbian baseball will hold its annual parent/player meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. In the Columbian cafeteria. Upcoming events, information and other details will be discussed. YOUTH SOCCER: Upper Sandusky Youth Soccer will begin accepting registration forms soon for players born between 2004-14. Forms can be turned in 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 19 at Beca House, 6-8 p.m. Jan. 23 at 9 Flags Pizza, and 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 26 at Beca House. Forms can also be mailed by Feb. 1 to USYS, P.O. Box 184, Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351. Two forms are due for all divisions: USYS registration and Lindsay’s Law. An additional form of BSSL Consent is also due for division U10, U12 and U15. n The Upper Sandusky High girls soccer program will provide free winter training for girls in grades 3-8. Training occurs on 6-8 p.m. Sundays from Jan. 6 through March 24, excluding Feb. 3, at Upper Sandusky High’s gym. Players should bring indoor soccer shoes or tennis shoes, shin guards and socks. Free goalkeeper specific training will be available for on the same nights from 6-7 p.m. for boys and girls in grades 3-8. Those players should bring their own goalkeeper gloves. BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Clyde beat Columbian 62-34.

n Hopewell-Loudon defeated Cory-Rawson 46-37. Nate Cook lead the Chieftains with 10 points, Carter Ritchey added nine and Bryce Avalon and Dan Lommerse each had eight.

n Blake Ronski scored 20 points to fuel Calvert’s 42-27 win over Danbury.

n Isaac Foos scored 13 points and Chris Stosio added 11 for Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic in a 35-31 win over New Riegel. Joe Tiell and Logan Schalk each had eight while Hayden Hohman and Grant Reinhart had six apiece for the Blue Jackets.

n Ryan Miller had 18 points and Colin Nutter had 15 in Old Fort’s 54-48 win over St. Mary.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Megan Rife scored nine points and Kiersten Cook, Brooke Bordner and Makenna Depinet each had six as Seneca East beat Carey 32-19.

n Colonel Crawford beat Upper Sandusky 46-29.

BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Clyde beat Columbian 28-12.
