Dragons get past Pride

Madison Jackson and Ali Schirmer both scored 14 points for Tiffin Thursday as the Dragons held off Purdue Northwest 54-46 in GLIAC play.

The Dragons (6-10, 2-6 GLIAC) led 31-29 at the half and after a 10-10 third period, the Dragons took the last quarter 13-7 to finish off the Pride (2-11, 1-7).

Kiley May had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Dragons, while Cynthia Concepcion ended with eight points and five boards. The Dragons didn’t shoot that well at just 35 percent (20-57) from the floor, including 24 percent (8-33) from deep, but did go 6 of 10 from the charity stripe. Purdue Northwest was just 4 of 17 from the line.
