MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT: Mohawk will hold a Military Appreciation Night during this Friday’s home boys basketball game with Colonel Crawford. All active and retired military members will be admitted free. The junior varsity game begins at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Buckeye Central beat Seneca East 40-27.

n Avarie Stewart scored 11 points to key Carey’s 37-26 win against Upper Sandusky. Reagan Ward scored nine points for Upper Sandusky.

n Brook Boes had 10 points, leading Columbian to a 36-34 win over Fremont Ross. Elizabeth Newland added seven for the Tornadoes. Mikaela McLaurin had 19 for the Little Giants.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Sandusky beat Bellevue 42-30.

n Michael Blake tossed 15 points and Michael Garrett added 13 as Fremont St. Joseph Central Catholic edged Calvert 38-31. Luke Ritzler had nine and Michael Casale six for the Senecas.

n Jordan Smith scored 13 points to key Old Fort’s 35-25 win against Danbury.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Logan Beaston scored 12 points and Zak Siebenaller added seven to push Tiffin’s seventh grade past Norwalk 28-22.

n Tiffin’s eighth grade powered past Norwalk 38-27, thanks to 10 points each from Bryce Burns and Jaden Myers and nine from Gunther Kissell.

n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade edged Old Fort 30-29. Hayden Welly tossed in 13 points for H-L and George Beucler netted 11.

n Old Fort beat Hopewell-Loudon 41-27 in eighth grade play. Miles Miller netted 12 points for the Stockaders, Garrett Havens scored 11 and Colin Nutter and Casey Clouse each chipped in eight. Ried Jury scored 14 points and Walker Suter followed with five for H-L.

n Mohawk got 13 points from Colin Barth and 10 from Nathan Geary in a 39-21 eighth grade win against Seneca East.

n Isaac Mason poured in 25 points and Cody Heibertshausen chipped in seven to fuel Seneca East’s seventh grade in a 44-39 win against Mohawk.

n Lakota’s eighth grade beat New Riegel 35-22. Logan Schalk scored 15 points for New Riegel.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade outlasted Hopewell-Loudon 29-26. Madison Nesselhauf scored nine points for Old Fort and Chloe Wilkinson and Emily Blankenship each scored eight. Hope Kreais scored 12 points for H-L.

n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Old Fort 34-21. Alex Jackson led the Chieftains with 15 points and Ashley Daniel scored 11. Kailyn Webb had nine points for Old Fort and Kennedy Guth added seven.

n Seneca East’s eighth grade beat Mohawk 46-16. Makenna Depinet scored 19 points for Seneca East.

n Seneca East’s seventh grade beat Mohawk 30-16. Hillary Bogner scored nine points for Seneca East, Kate Siesel had eight and Abby Sturgill had seven.
