PARENT MEETING: Hopewell-Loudon will hold its fall mandatory OHSAA parent meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the school audeteria. All fall sports athletes and their parents must attend.

GOLF: Dan Coppes and Bob Reinhart are in first in the Amvets League at Seneca Hills on Wednesday nights with 24 1/2 points. Prizes went to Ray Krupp (closest in three on No. 5), Bob Grothaus (closest in two on No. 1) and Bob Haefling (long putt on No. 8).

n The Wednesday Senior League at Clinton Heights was by Jim Reuss, Jack Snay, Phil Miller and Bob Teach with a score of 6-under par. There were four teams tied in second at 5-under. Prizes were awarded to Howard Cottrell (closest in one on No. 5), Harry Smith (closest in two on No. 6), Dick Hull (closest in three on No. 9) and John Garpiel (long putt).

n The front nine scramble of the Lakeland Senior League was won by the team of Ray Garcia, Butch Bricker, Ron Saklosky and Les Tesnow, which shot 3-under. The back nine stableford was won by Bob Deckard, Rick Judy and Dick Kozlowsky at plus eight.

HOLE-IN-ONE: Jon Kirian shot a hole-in-one on No. 16 at Seneca Hills with a 7-iron from 130 yards out. Marge Kirian was the witness.

SOFTBALL: The Ohio Lady Lightning fastpitch team will hold tryouts 6-8 p.m. at Fostoria High for the following age groups on the following days: Aug. 1 for 10U-12U, Aug. 2 for 14U, and Aug. 3 for 16U-18U. BASEBALL: The Northern Ohio Storm 10U and 12U tournament teams will hold tryouts Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gottfried Field in Melmore.
