GOLF: In the Tuesday Ladies’ Recreation League at Clinton Height, Sandy Benner leads with 27 points. Jane Birch is second with 26 1/2. The long putt on 10 was by Tammy Seasly, while Kathy McCool was closest to the pin on No. 11.

n Barb Kuhn made the long putt at No. 1 and ended closest in three at No. 7 in the Seneca Hills Tuesday Morning Ladies League. Paula Wise finished closest in one at No. 6.

n Dave Clouse, Bill Stalsworth, Jim Heyman and Bruce Hickle shot 15 under to win the Bump’s Tuesday Traveling Group outing at Red Hawk Run. Rod Echelberry, Dave Combs, Paul Donaldson and Ray Krupp took second after beating two other teams on the fourth playoff hole, ending at 12 under. Next week’s outing occurs at Clinton Heights, beginning at 9 a.m. Players should be there by 8:45 a.m. for team draws.

PARENT MEETING: Hopewell-Loudon will hold its fall mandatory OHSAA parent meeting Monday at 6 p.m. in the school audeteria. All fall sports athletes and their parents must attend.

SOFTBALL: The Ohio Lady Lightning fastpitch team will hold tryouts 6-8 p.m. at Fostoria High for the following age groups on the following days: Aug. 1 for 10U-12U, Aug. 2 for 14U, and Aug. 3 for 16U-18U.
