SECTIONAL TICKETS: Tickets for Upper Sandusky’s girls sectional final game tonight at 6:15 p.m. at Willard against Margaretta will only be sold at the door. Tickets cost $6 for adults and $4 for students.
BOYS BASKETBALL: The site for the Division IV sectional, originally scheduled to start at Heidelberg University has been moved to Columbian High School. The tournament starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday when New Riegel plays Hardin Northern.
BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Wynford 68-59.
n Carey beat Bucyrus 67-47.
n Max Paul tossed in 13 points and Quin Ronski added 11 for Calvert in a 61-30 win over New Riegel. Carson Whipple had seven and Will Hershman six for the Blue Jackets.
n Clyde upended Perkins 54-50 in overtime.
n Hopewell-Loudon defeated Fremont St. Joe 60-41. Devin Falter led the Chieftains with 13 points while Walker Suter added 11 and Dan Lommerse 10.
n Old Fort topped Lakota 60-38 as Isaac Snyder had 15 points and Nathan DeRodes added six.
n Norwalk beat Columbian 39-32. For TC, Drew Vasko poured in 16 points and Jaden Myers contributed 11 points.
BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Perkins edged Clyde 31-29.
n Norwalk topped Columbian 35-21. For TC, Zack Siebenaller had 10 points.
SOCCER: Tiffin Soccer Club will offer a spring program for middle school students with two divisions: 12U and 14. Prior experience is not necessary. Tentative plans call for one or two training sessions per week, approximately 6-7 p.m., beginning in late March and ending in late May. Plans call for practices to be held at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex at Hedges-Boyer Park. Games will be against East Suburban Soccer League teams Woodville, Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Eastwood and Lake, along with other northwest Ohio teams. Games will be played from early April to late May, typically on weekends. The schedule will be determined in March. Cost is $75 per player. To register, visit www.tiffinsoccer.org. SOFTBALL: The first organizational meeting for all coaches of the Sen-San-Wyan girls softball league is March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. This instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas. No girl will be denied participation on their home team. This league is for any interested girls who has completed kindergarten through eighth grade. Any new team that would like to join must send a representative to the meeting. SPRING MEETING: Upper Sandusky High School will host a spring sports parent meeting Monday at 7 p.m. Parents of all spring sports athletes are expected to attend.
