SOCCER: Tiffin Soccer Club will offer a spring program for middle school students with two divisions: 12U and 14. Prior experience is not necessary. Tentative plans call for one or two training sessions per week, approximately 6-7 p.m., beginning in late March and ending in late May. Plans call for practices to be held at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex at Hedges-Boyer Park. Games will be against East Suburban Soccer League teams Woodville, Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Eastwood and Lake, along with other northwest Ohio teams. Games will be played from early April to late May, typically on weekends. The schedule will be determined in March. Cost is $75 per player. To register, visit www.tiffinsoccer.org. SOFTBALL: The first organizational meeting for all coaches of the Sen-San-Wyan girls softball league is March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. This instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas. No girl will be denied participation on their home team. This league is for any interested girls who has completed kindergarten through eighth grade. Any new team that would like to join must send a representative to the meeting. SPRING MEETING: Upper Sandusky High School will host a spring sports parent meeting Monday at 7 p.m. Parents of all spring sports athletes are expected to attend. There will be individual sports meetings for baseball (south gym bleachers), softball (north gym bleachers), boys tennis (library), boys and girls track (cafeteria). BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Seneca East beat North Baltimore 56-39. Cody Heibertshausen paced the victors with 16 points, Graham Gibbs added 13 and Wyatt Young tossed in 11.

BOWLING: Greg Elchert took the high series honor in the 55-Plus League at K of C Lanes with a 543. Paul Gosche rolled a 517 series, followed by Bob Reinhart (490), Ron Mellot (486) and Bill Mizen (482).
