BASEBALL: The Seneca East Baseball Club will have its 2020 mandatory registration meeting for children who would like to play on a T-Ball (ages 4-5) or Town League (ages 5-8) team. SOFTBALL: The first organizational meeting for all coaches of the Sen-San-Wyan girls softball league is March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. This instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas. No girl will be denied participation on their home team. This league is for any interested girls that has completed kindergarten through eighth grade. Any new team that would like to join must send a representative to the meeting. SWIMMING: Upper Sandusky will have a plethora of athletes at districts after the Rams qualified 19 events for the district meet at Bowling Green State University. The girl qualifiers included the 400 free relay (Maya Collins, Addison Byrne, Lindsay Weininger and Cali Andres), the 200 medley relay (Andres, Collins, Byrne and Weininger), Collins (100 free), Andres (100 back and 200 IM) and Weininger (200 IM). The boys list includes the 200 free relay (Wes Ogden, Trever Daughenbaugh, Brody Williams and Gage Frey), the 400 free relay (Williams, Ethan Collins, Frey, Will Barnes) and the 200 medley relay (Barnes, Daughenbaugh, Williams and Frey). It also includes Frey (50 free), Barnes (100 butterfly and, 100 free), Williams (200 free), Collins (500 free and 200 IM), Cade Rothlisberger (100 back), Daughenbaugh (100 breast), Braden Cano (100 breast) and Jacob Newsome (100 butterfly).
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade topped Gibsonburg 46-17. Macie Miller led the winners with 15 points, while Addison Gillmor added eight.
n Fostoria’s seventh grade beat Elmwood 41-14 as Lyrique Johnson had 13 points for the Redmen (14-0). Amijah Poole added 10 points and Alycia Middlebrooks ended with eight points.
GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Carey beat Old Fort 39-25. Kailyn Webb had six points for the Stockaders.
n Mohawk slipped past Hopewell-Loudon 33-28 in overtime.
