BASEBALL: The Seneca East Baseball Club will have its 2020 mandatory registration meeting for children who would like to play on a T-Ball (ages 4-5) or Town League (ages 5-8) team. This will be held in the Seneca East cafeteria Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Forms will be sent home from school with children and also will be available in the elementary office. SOFTBALL: The first organizational meeting for all coaches of the Sen-San-Wyan girls softball league is March 4 at 7 p.m. at the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. This instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas. No girl will be denied participation on their home team. This league is for any interested girls that has completed kindergarten through eighth grade. Any new team that would like to join must send a representative to the meeting. BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Calvert lost to 54-47 to Sandusky St. Mary. Quin Ronski led the Senecas with 24 points in the loss.

n Hopewell-Loudon defeated Lakota 47-23. Walker Suter paced the Chieftains with 14 points and. Braden Finsel and Bryce Avalon both added nine.

n Jaden Myers made the game-winning shot, and scored eight points as Columbian topped Vermilion 38-36. Andrew Shawberry had a team-best 10 points for the Tornadoes.

n Clyde upended Bellevue 46-44.

n Drew Morelock tossed in 26 points to lead Gibsonburg past New Riegel 49-32. Carson Whipple had 10 for the Blue Jackets.

n Jonah Englehart tossed in 24 points and Isaac Snyder added 12 to key Old Fort’s 70-43 win against Danbury.

n Otsego beat Fostoria 44-9.
