BASEBALL: The Seneca East Baseball Club will be having its 2020 mandatory registration meeting for children who would like to play on a T-Ball (ages 4-5) or Town League (ages 5-8) team. This will be held in the cafeteria at Seneca East Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. Forms will be sent home from school with children and also will be available in the elementary office. SCHEDULE CHANGE: The Upper Sandusky boys basketball game with Carey Feb. 18 has been moved to Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. Due to the girls’ sectional tournament game being Feb. 18.
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Fostoria’s eighth grade beat Genoa 24-17 as Chelsea Tyson had nine points and Bryanna Ferguson added seven for the Redmen.
n Fostoria’s seventh grade routed Genoa 44-2. Lyrique Johnson put in 12 points, while Amijah Poole had 10 and Yazmoni Agapiou ended with eight for Fostoria.
n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 41-26 as Macie Miller led Old Fort with 15 points, while Ryanne Benner and Addison Gillmor each added six points. For H-L, Kylee Malagon and Carley Coffman each had six points.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade topped Old Fort 27-26. Olivia Bishop led H-L with nine points, while Kacie Flechtner added six. For Old Fort, Olivia Tyndall had 11 points and Mackenzie Fortney ended with seven.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade topped Hopewell-Loudon 42-30 as Blake Bender dropped in 12 points and Isaiah Perez tacked on 10 points for the Stockaders. For H-L, Evan Kreais poured in 13 points, while Blake Berrier added 10.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Old Fort 41-27. H-L was led by Will Nutter with 10 points and Zavier Young contributed six. For Old Fort, Tyson Frisch had nine points.
n Mohawk’s seventh grade took down Colonel Crawford 35-22 in the N10 Tournament at Wynford. Brayden Cleveland and Hunter Haynes each had 10 points for the Warriors, while Ben Bogner finished with six points.
