MILITARY APPRECIATION: Friday is Military Appreciation Night across Ohio and Hopewell-Loudon will be participating by allowing all former and active military, plus all current first responders in to the boys varsity basketball game against Sandusky St. Mary, free of cost. Bring proof of service.
n Old Fort is also participating in Military Night in its game Friday against New Riegel. All past and present military personnel will be honored. Also at the game, Allison Adelsperger will be inducted into the Old Fort Hall of Fame.
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade got past New Riegel 24-19 as Macie Miller had 11 points and Addison Gillmor added six for Old Fort.
n Old Fort’s seventh grade routed New Riegel 57-10. Olivia Tyndal led the Stockaders with 15 points, while Mackenzie Fortney added 14 and Mikayla Steyer finished with 11.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s eighth grade bested Sandusky St. Mary 38-15. For H-L, Kylee Malagon and Isabelle Beidelschies each scored 10 points.
n Seneca East’s eighth grade beat Upper Sandusky 39-34. Leah Drown and Olivia Stockmaster led the scoring with 10 points apiece. Caroline Kagy had eight points and Morgan Cornwell ended with six points.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Mohawk’s seventh grade edged Wynford 36-34. Brayden Cleveland had nine points, while Kahne Hayman added eight points and Hunter Haynes finished with five points for the Warriors.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s eighth grade topped St. Mary 47-14 as Blake Berrier had 13 points and Carter Yarborough finished with eight.
n St. Mary’s seventh grade slipped past Hopewell-Loudon 43-42. For H-L, Braylon Martinez dropped in 17 points and Zavier Young chipped in nine.
n Upper Sandusky’s eighth grade beat Seneca East 53-36. For SE, Aiden Hines had 14 points and Blake Foos added seven.
n Upper Sandusky’s seventh grade edged Seneca East 36-33. Lucas Bordner popped in 14 points for the Tigers.
n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat New Riegel 53-34 as Blake Bender led the Stockaders with 19 points. Carter Cleveland added seven, while Carter DuBios and Isaiah Perez each had six.
n New Riegel’s seventh grade dropped Old Fort 42-24. Ryan Adelsperger put in 17 points for the Stockaders.
