FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP: Calvert will host the Tiffin K of C No. 608 Championship Sunday with registration beginning at 4 p.m. and the competition starting at 4:30 p.m. It includes all boys and girls age 9-14 as of Jan. 1 of this year. It is free to all.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Carey’s eighth grade slipped past Mohawk 36-34. For Mohawk, Travis Geary dropped in 12 points, Gavin Barth had eight and Cody Coppus and Derek Dickman each added six.

n Mohawk’s seventh grade routed Carey 36-5 as Brayden Cleveland had 13 points. Mohawk also got nine points from Connor Flood and five from Hunter Haynes.

n Bucyrus’ eighth grade dropped Seneca East 35-26. For SE, Caden Bumb had nine points, while Caden Fritz and Lucas Hicks each poured in five apiece.

n Seneca East’s seventh grade downed Bucyrus 36-28 as Lucas Bordner popped in 21 points for the Tigers.

n Tiffin’s eighth grade routed Sandusky 53-29. Brayden Roggow scored 23 points, while Bryce Roggow chipped in 11 for TMS. The Tornadoes are 8-0.

n Sandusky’s seventh grade dropped Tiffin 41-34. For TMS, Jack Newlove had nine points, while Zach Shawberry added eight.

n Old Fort’s seventh grade beat Lakota 47-10, getting 14 points from Tyson Frisch and seven from Brock Miller.

n Isaiah Perez scored 11 points and Blake Bender and Carter Cleveland each netted nine in Old Fort’s 54-20 eighth grade win against Lakota.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: New Riegel’s eighth grade beat Calvert 26-24. Caroline Lanicek led Calvert with 10 points, while Alyssa Rishty added seven points.

n Fostoria’s seventh grade beat Otsego 44-11. Lyrique Johnson had 13 points, while Alycia Middlebrooks added seven for the Lady Red.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Seneca East got by Wynford 56-49. Alex King led the Tigers with 15 points, while Isaac Mason added 10 points, Cooper Skeel had nine points and Cody Heibertshausen finished with eight points.

n Carey beat Ridgedale 59-20.

n Owen Knapp scored 21 points and Ethan Steele added eight for Upper Sandusky in a 52-36 win over Mohawk. Nathan Geary had 10 and AJ Hess eight for the Warriors.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: New Riegel edged Hopewell-Loudon 27-25. Brieanna Norville scored 12 points for the Blue Jackets and Katelyn Arbogast added 10. Abby Daniel paced H-L with 10 points and Allie Milligan tossed in eight.

BOWLING: The high scores for the 55-Plus League at the K of C Lanes were Greg Elchert (586), Jim Ruess (542), Bob Reinhart (536), Mike Kisabeth (513) Jim Donaldson (498), Jerry Gillig (495) and Paul Gosche (477).
