FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP: Calvert is hosting the Tiffin K of C #608 Championship Sunday with registration beginning at 4 p.m. And the competition starting at 4:30 p.m. It includes all boys and girls ages 9-14 as of Jan. 1 of this year. It is free to all.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Tiffin’s eighth grade topped Port Clinton 61-19. Brayden Roggow dropped in 13 points, while Bryce Roggow added 12 and Jack Koerper and Nathan Arend each added nine.
n Tiffin’s seventh grade beat Port Clinton 29-23 as Zach Shawberry had 12 points. Leo Diamantopolous added six points for Tiffin.
n Mohawk’s seventh grade upended Colonel Crawford 39-6. Brayden Cleveland had 11 points for the Warriors. They also got seven points from Hunter Haynes and six each from Kayne Hayman and Ben Bogner.
n Seneca East’s eighth grade took down Buckeye Central 51-22 as Caden Bumb tallied 11 points, Lucas Hicks had 10 and Laine Dixon finished with seven for SE. For the Bucks, Trevor King scored six points.
n Seneca East’s seventh grade downed Buckeye Central 45-16. For Se, Andrew Fay and Toomy Ternes each scored eight points.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade defeated Old Fort 35-20. Brock Miller led Old Fort with eight points, while Drew McDannell ended with six. For H-L, Will Nutter dropped in 10 points, while Matt Wyman added seven.
n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 38-35. Blake Bender led OF with 13 points, while Isaiah Perez chipped in eight points. For H-L, Caden Ritchey scored 13 points, while Carter Yarborough finished with nine points.
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade topped Hopewell-Loudon 41-26 as Macie Miller dropped in 15 points for the Stockaders. Addison Gillmor added eight points, while Ryanne Benner had six points. For H-L, Anna Daniel and Isabelle Beidelschies each scored six points.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Old Fort 22-8 as Olivia Bishop recorded eight points for H-L, while Sidney Brickner added six.
n Seneca East’s eighth grade topped Buckeye Central 32-30 as Leah Drown had 13 points, while Caroline Kagy added 11 for SE.
