GIRLS BASKETBALL: Sandusky St. Mary upended Old Fort 53-48, handing the Stockaders their first Sandusky Bay Conference River Division loss. Ashlyn Magers led Old Fort (3-2, 3-1 SBC) with 16 points, Kara Davidson had 12 points and eight rebounds and Jordan Reineck tallied nine points and four steals.
n Colonel Crawford blanked Mohawk 9-0 in the first quarter and kept the Warriors at bay from there to claim a 44-26 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win. Kennedy Cleveland scored 13 points for Mohawk (0-3, 0-2 N10) and Aubrie Harper netted nine. Paityn Clouse grabbed 13 rebounds.
n Ady Stewart and Avarie Stewart combined to match Upper Sandusky’s point total in Carey’s 51-27 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win. Ady Stewart scored a game-high 16 points for the Blue Devils (2-2, 2-2 N10) and Avarie Stewart had 11, with Sadie Arend chipping in nine. Kaidance Iles scored seven points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Rams (1-6, 0-3).
GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon beat Gibsonburg 25-15. Allie Milligan scored seven points for H-L, Abby Daniel added four and Alex Jackson and Taryn Hampton both tallied three.
n Seneca East edged Buckeye Central 24-22.
n Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 20-10, thanks to Madison Nesselhauf’s 11 points, Jada Howard’s eight and Cameran Cleveland’s six.
n Columbian beat Mansfield Senior 28-24 behind eight points from Gracie Chester and seven points each from Lexi Smith and Madi Rice.
n Carey beat Upper Sandusky 36-30 in overtime.
BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Calvert defeated Fremont St. Joe 50-18. Collin McCarty led all scorers with 18 points for Calvert, Lee Morgan added 13 points. Nick Palm had eight and Mason Johnson finished with six.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Tiffin Middle School’s eighth grade routed Norwalk 58-13. Taleb Al-Zakwani led TMS with 15 points, while Bryce Roggow added 14.
n Jack Newlove scored 16 points and Zach Shawberry netted 14 to lead Tiffin’s seventh grade past Norwalk.
MEET CANCELED: Columbian’s swim meet Dec. 10 with Upper Sandusky at the Tiffin YMCA has been canceled and not rescheduled at this time.
