JV SOCCER: Upper Sandusky beat Old Fort 3-0, thanks to goals by Aaron MaGinn, Nevin Boes and Ethan Beidelschies. Nicholas Wines, Joe Hoy and Brennen Harris each had an assist.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Carey beat McComb 25-13, 25-18.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Carey beat McComb 25-13, 25-19.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat New Riegel 25-14, 25-20 at the Sandusky Bay Conference Tournament. Kelsey Bodart gave New Riegel 14 digs, Ashlyn Bouillon had seven digs and four aces, Audrey Bumb tallied three digs and two kills and Macy Schubaugh had a kill, ace and dig.

n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat New Riegel 25-22, 25-9 at the Sandusky Bay Conference Tournament. Alayna Schalk registered 13 assists and two aces for New Riegel, Olivia Schalk drilled 12 kills and three blocks, Liz Walter had five digs and five kills and Scout Coffin added four kills and four digs.

n Calvert’s eighth grade topped Gibsonburg 25-12, 25-12 in the SBC River Tournament. The Senecas then beat Old Fort 25-11, 25-21 and then won the tournament with a 25-16, 25-20 victory over Danbury. Overall, Allison Porter compiled nine aces, seven assists and nine kills for the Senecas, while Cecilia Palm added four aces, 11 assists and 10 digs, Allee Ritzler had three aces and eight digs, Jena Vera tallied four kills, two aces and eight digs, Olivia Miller had 29 assists, five aces, four kills and 14 digs and Morgan Elchert totaled five kills and eight digs. Camryn Shook smacked 27 kills and Caroline Lanicek finished with 19 kills.

n Calvert’s seventh grade defeated Lakota 23-25, 25-17, 26-24 at the SBC River Tournament, while then beating Fremont St. Joe and then losing to H-L 25-16, 25-21 in the final. For Calvert, Addison King had six aces and six kills, while Shelby Michaels added four aces and a pair of kills, Isabella Lucius had two aces and seven digs and Allison Ott ended with four kills and three digs.

SECTIONAL VOLLEYBALL: Old Fort will be hosting Cardinal Stritch at Old Fort Tuesday. The match will start at 5:30 p.m. And tickets will be available at the door. Adult tickets are $6 and $4 for students.
