Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m. All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Turn in results via E-mail at sports@advertiser-tribune.com, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

GOLF: Tim Cessna and Ryan Hulse won the Baumann Old Fort Ex-Hi League by beating Larry Miller and Larry Elchert in the championship match 26-14 in points. Miller and Elchert beat Brad Fry and Jeff Miller in the first round. Cessna and Hulse beat Tom Harple and Brian Ferguson in the first round.

n The Thursday Morning Men’s Senior League at the Front 9 was won with a 3 under by the team of Ray Tittle, Jim Montz, Steve Scheiber and Jim Radcliff. The second place team was made up of George Wolph, Gary Kroeger and Jon Eakin. Prize holes went to Montz (closest in two) and Eakin (closest in three).

n Rufus Tyree, Howard Elchert, Steve Schafer and Dale Wisebaker tied the team of Dutch Edeburn, Herb Love, Jim Heyman and Dick Rochester at 4 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Love had the long putt (No. 9) and was closest to the pin (No. 2).

PREP SOCCER: Jaidyn Thiel scored twice in the second half to highlight Upper Sandusky’s 5-2 loss to Riverdale. Riverdale (8-0-3) had allowed just six goals in 10 games entering Thursday. Coby Miller scored twice for the Falcons, and Tom Miller, Jackson Clark and Logan Frey each added a goal. Anson Hill had 10 saves for Upper Sandusky (2-8-1) and Sudesh Grafmiller added an assist. Ethan Shane stopped five shots for Riverdale.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL: Columbian beat Vermilion 25-23, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23. Rylie Roggow had 12 kills, 13 digs and four blocks for TC (11-3), while Maggie Bremyer made 13 digs, Mckenna Kidwell made three blocks, Olivia Jacobs tallied 18 assists, six aces and a pair of digs, Kenadie Sherman had nine assists, nine digs and three digs, Toria Ingalls notched five kills, eight digs and two blocks, Lexi Smith slammed four kills and Kate Ledwedge finished with five digs.

n Carey beat Northern 10 Athletic Conference rival Mohawk 25-23, 25-23, 13-25, 25-23. Alexa Konkle tallied 37 assists, eight digs and four blocks to lead Mohawk (10-6, 7-5 N10), Paityn Clouse had 15 kills, eight digs and six blocks, Ellie Shaw and Kendyll Gurney both came up with 14 digs and Catherine Klopp belted 12 kills and four blocks. Emma Weinandy chipped in nine kills, three blocks and three digs, Marah Gillig (2 blocks) had 10 digs and five kills and Tess Weinandy (2 blocks) added five kills and five digs.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East beat Bucyrus 25-18, 25-7. Abby Sturgill led the victors with eight assist and six aces and Brandi Gahring added five aces, five digs and four kills.

n Upper Sandusky beat Ridgedale 27-25, 25-21.

n Calvert beat Hopewell-Loudon 25-9, 25-13. Kate Laney handed out 14 assists for the Senecas, Maddie Schumacher had seven aces, four kills and seven digs, Caitlyn Borer belted four kills and two solo blocks, Frannie Webb lined four kills and Leah Renninger smacked two solo blocks. Hopewell-Loudon got four assists from Allie Milligan, four digs from Tayrn Hampton, three kills each from Raylee Baker and Abby Daniel and two digs from Paige Hoover.

n Vermilion beat Columbian 25-22, 25-12.

n Mohawk beat Carey 25-22, 25-18, getting 10 digs from Emma Golling and eight digs, six assists and five kills from Kennedy Cleveland.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East beat Bucyrus 25-17, 25-19. Kaitlyn Best tallied seven assists, seven digs, three aces and two digs for the Tigers, and Grace Manning lined three aces and two kills.

n Vermilion topped Columbian 25-15, 25-7.

n Carey beat Mohawk 29-27, 25-23. Olivia Wise led Mohawk with seven assists, five digs and three aces.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East’s seventh grade beat Buckeye Central 30-28, 25-18, thanks to Jaidyn Kagy’s 11 assists, three aces and three digs. Natalie Daniel added nine kills and two assists and Alaina Chapman had six kills, four assists and two digs.

n Buckeye Central’s eighth grade beat Seneca East 25-13, 25-17. Caroline Kagy belted five kills for Seneca East, Myah Geary had five assists and two kills and Mia Holmes added four kills and three digs.

n Vermilion’s eighth grade beat Tiffin 25-17, 25-20.

n Tiffin’s seventh grade beat Vermilion 25-14, 25-18.
