RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m. All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Turn in results via E-mail at sports@advertiser-tribune.com, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

GOLF: Mitch Stearns won the second half of the Phat Cakes League with 182 points. Ray Nutter finished second with 174 points. Matt Weber posted the low round with a 37. Skin winners were Andy Halcomb, Tim Cessna and Mike Gibson. Prize hole winners were Len Goshe (proximity shot No. 2), Nutter (long drive No. 4), Dale Gibson (long putt No. 3), Stearns (pin shot No. 8) and Greg Clouse (long putt No. 1). League playoffs will be today with Cessna facing Mike Gibson and Stearns facing Nutter to advance to the league title. The other league players are invited to play golf for skins game and prize balls.

n Dick Hull, Don Miller, Bob Shultz, Casey Breighner and Gary Kroeger won the Friday Senior League at Clinton Heights at 7 under. Two teams tied for second at 6 under. Prize holes were Charles Reinbolt (closest in one No. 11), Lou Straub (closest in two No. 18), Hull (closest in three No. 17) and Dave Purnell (long putt No. 14).

n The Monday Morning Men’s Senior League at the Front 9 was won by the team of Dave Purnell, John Armstrong, Chuck Wilbert and Lou Greiselding at 7 under. Prize holes went to Jon Eakin (closest in one), Armstrong (closest in two) and Wilbert (closest in three).

n The team of Frank Michniak, Jim Heyen, Brian Krauss, Duth Edeburn and Tom Williams shot 5 under to win Monday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Tom Miller (closest to pin No. 6), Paul E. Fey (long putt No. 5) and Don Kin had the low gross with a 37.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Columbian finished 14th overall at the Strongsville Invitational Saturday with 359 points. Caden Groves led TC in seventh (16:19.82), while Jacob Marquis placed 67th (18:08.26, Evan Schleter was 94th (18:40.86), Logan Robinson crossed the line 95th (18:41.16), Brian Siesel finished 96th (18:41.45), Patrick Marquis was 102nd (18:53.24) and Jacob Weingart placed 114th (19:12.19). In the Open Race, TC placed 12th with 386 points. Ian Martinez (48th, 19:54.98), Luis Martinez (68th, 20:22.94), Luke Snyder (85th, 20:49.79), Teddy Owens (90th, 20:54.60) and Cameron Koerper (95th (21:08.89) were the Top 5 runners for TC.

VARSITY VOLLEYBALL: Hopewell-Loudon topped Danbury 25-12, 25-14, 25-8 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division action. Abbi Roerdink led the Chieftains (12-4) with 27 assists and four digs, while Grace Dohanyos added four aces and 11 digs, Elizabeth Wells had six kills and four digs, Peyton Hoover collected five kills and five digs, Abbe Beidelschies had three kills and four digs, Hope Kreais notched seven kills and a pair of blocks and Megan Kreais slammed five kills.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East topped Ridgedale 25-23, 25-18 as Lexi Bloom had five kills and a pair of aces for SE. Brooke Bordner added seven digs and five aces.

n Calvert dominated Gibsonburg 25-9, 25-11. Maddie Schumacher (seven digs) and Leah Renninger each had three kills for the Senecas, while Kelsey Shiley (14 assists) and Kate Laney (9 assists) both served up three aces. Frannie Webb tallied three blocks and Samantha Wellman made seven digs.

n Buckeye Central defeated Mohawk 25-12, 25-20. For Mohawk, Kendyll Gurney made 18 digs.

n Old Fort beat Fremont St. Joe 25-10, 25-12. Alyssa Hoerig had 11 assists and four aces for Old Fort, while Jillian Stover added eight aces and three kills, Jaislynn Woodall had three kills, Madison Nesselhauf tallied five digs and Branna Hoerig ended with a pair of aces and five digs.

n Hopewell-Loudon beat Danbury 25-15, 25-13. Abby Daniel had two aces and two kills for the Chieftains, while Alex Jackson added four kills and two blocks, Taryn Hampton tallied seven assists and eight digs, Grace Hoover dished five assists and Haley Weaver finished with 10 digs and an ace.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Fremont St. Joe topped Old Fort 25-16, 25-20. Cameron Cleveland notched eight assists and three kills for the Stockaders. They also got three kills and 11 digs from Kennedy Guth, six kills and seven digs from Brooke Withrow and six assists and five digs by Molly Kupka.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East’s eighth grade edged Ridgedale 25-10, 20-25, 25-15. For SE, Caroline Kagy tallied nine kills and three aces, while Myah Geary added seven assists, six digs and three aces and Hannah Chaffee had six assists, three digs and three aces.

n Calvert’s eighth grade topped Old Fort 25-11, 25-18. Caroline Lanicek had three aces and four kills for the Senecas. They also got two aces, three assists, two kills and five digs from Olivia miller, two aces, three assists and two digs from Allison Porter, three assists, two kills and five digs by Cecelia Palm and three kills and two digs by Camryn Shook.

n Calvert’s seventh grade topped Old Fort 25-9, 25-19 as Addison King tallied six aces and six kills for Calvert. Allison Ott tallied five aces, five assists and two kills and Alyssa Rishty ended with three aces, three assists and a pair of kills.

JV GOLF: Columbian’s Hayden Carter beat Hopewell-Loudon’s Logan Sours 4 and 2 in match play, while Zavier Sherman topped Ethan Parkins 3 and 2, Brock Rudolph added a 4 and 3 win over Tyler Agaba and Mason Garcia completed the win over Michael Hoover 2 and 1. H-L’s Kasey Thompson beat TC’s Breanna Brock 5 up.
