VOLLEYBALL: Upper Sandusky High’s volleyball team will host its annual “Volley for the Cure Night” at 5 p.m. Tuesday when it hosts Carey. Fans are asked to “Pink Out” to support the fight against cancer. There will be a bake sale, silent auction and a 50/50 drawing with all proceeds going to help an Upper Sandusky family. T-shirts will be sold while supplies last.

JV FOOTBALL: Columbian team beat Toledo Start 20-6. Luc Busdeker threw two touchdown passes to Dustin Derr, Seth Belville ran for a TD and Hayden Raitz added a two-point conversion. Derr and Maddox Simcoe also each picked off a pass.

n Hopewell-Loudon doubled up Lakota 28-14. Luke Jameson threw a pair of TD passes to Payton Burns and ran for another score, while Eric Hoover also had a rushing touchdown. Sheron Jones, Payton Burns and Devin Falter all had interceptions.

JV SOCCER: Upper Sandusky tied Marion Harding 4-4, getting two goals from Owen Mawer and a goal each from Brennen Harris and Jaden Wentling.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Riverdale topped Hopewell-Loudon 25-22, 25-23. For H-L, Raylee Baker had six kills and a pair of blocks, while Allie Milligan added three aces and eight assists, Grace Hoover dished five assists, Abby Daniel lined four kills, Alex Jackson collected three kills and three blocks, Zanna Kammeyer slammed three kills and Alexis Smith made five digs.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: New Riegel’s seventh grade beat Arcadia 25-17, 25-19, getting 10 aces and 10 digs from Ashlyn Bouillon. Kelsey Bodart backed her with 10 digs and four aces for the Blue Devils and McKenzie Williams had four digs, three kills and two aces.

n Alayna Schalk tossed up 12 assists to lead New Riegel’s eighth grade past Arcadia 25-14, 25-13. Lizz Walter chipped in eight digs for the Blue Jackets and Lacey Barchus had three.

n Fremont St. Joe beat New Riegel’s seventh grade 25-10, 25-5.

n Katie Dryfuse tallied 11 digs and three kills to key New Riegel’s 25-15, 25-17 eighth grade win against Fremont St. Joe. Tori Tiell added eight digs and two kills for New Riegel and Lexie Elchert had four digs and three kills.
