GOLF: In the Wednesday Senior League at Clinton Heights, Jim Ruess, Ed Lutz, Jon Eakin and Tom Puffenberg were 8 under to win. In second at 7 under was Carl Rainey, Harry Smith, Bill Dunlap and Chuck Reinbolt. Prize holes went to Smith (closest in one No. 8), Dock Hull (closest in two No. 4), Puffenberg (closest in three No. 9) and Reinbolt (long putt No. 1).

n Jason King was the winner of the last third in the Tuesday Night PJ Brickhouse League at Loudon Meadows. Dave Depinet finished second, Austin Frankart and Phil Lee are tied for third and Dan Reinhart finished last. Prize winners were Bubba Brickner (long putt No. 5), Paul Gosche (closest to pin No. 2) and Art McGrain (long drive No. 9).

JV TENNIS: Alyssa Eisenhower, Gabby Castillo, Amber Fay, Becca Clapp, Maddie Davis, Katrice Hackenburg, and Abbey Marcha all won matches for Clyde against Port Clinton.

BOYS SOCCER: Perkins beat Columbian 7-1 in Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division action. Xavier Coppus scored TC’s goal in the 63rd minute off an assists from Evan Schleter. Schleter started in goal. DJ Sherck also played goalie for TC. Kylen Coopshaw and Adam Schermer played solid all-around games Wednesday night, according to coach Rob Ochier.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Calvert’s seventh grade beat Sandusky St. Mary 25-7, 25-12. Alyssa Rishty served 12 aces and dished four assists for the Senecas, while Addison King added 11 kills and nine nine assists, Isabella Lucius had three kills and Ava Pierson ended with a pair of kills.

n Hopewell-Loudon’s eighth grade beat Lakota 25-7, 23-25, 25-12. Lydia Walters collected two aces, 17 assists and four digs for H-L, while Isabelle Beidelschies added two aces, nine kills and a dig, Kylee Malagon had four aces and two digs, Kendall Eilrich recorded two kills and two aces, Anna Daniel served three aces and slammed a pair of kills and Carley Coffman smacked eight kills.

n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade topped Lakota 25-13, 15-25, 25-19. Kasey Flechtner had five aces and a pair of kills, while Ashlyn Walters added five aces and seven kills, Olivia Bishop tallied two aces and two kills and Sydney Brickner ended with six assists and an ace.
