n The Teresa Kessler Memorial Big Cup scramble to benefit Teresa Kessler Scholarship will be held Sept. 8 at the Fostoria Country Club, beginning at 9 a.m. Four team spots remain. Cost is $200, which includes golf, carts, skins, lunch and prizes. Contact Bob at (419) 934-0227 or Darrell at (419) 310-0553 for registration or if you can donate a door prize or be a first tee, green or regular tee sponsor.

n The seventh annual Outing for Tiffin-Seneca United Way occurs Sept. 14 at Seneca Hills. Shotgun start is at 8:30 a.m. with registration open at 7:30 a.m. Cost per team of four is $200 and will include 18 holes of golf with two carts per team, lunch for four (brats and burgers) and two drink tickets per person. There will be a lot of door prizes, skins, 50/50, mulligans and hole contests. To pre-register for a team, become a major sponsor, which includes a team, or a hole sponsor, contact the United Way office at (419) 448-0355 or go to the website at www.tiffin-seneca-unitedway.org and click on events button.

n In the Friday Senior League at Clinton Heights there was a tie at 6 under between the teams of Jim Ruess, Bob Shultz, Jon Eakin and Lou Greiselding and Jack Snay, Don Miller, Ron Troxell and Tom Toepper. Prize holes went to Rex Mellott (closest in one No. 11), Ruess and Toepper (closest in two No. 12), Don Kin (closest in three No. 17) and Dave Seislove (long putt No. 15).

n The teams of Gary Ehrenfried and Jerry Schlick are tied with Dan Gaietto and Fred Reamer in the Thursday Night K of C league at Clinton Heights. Prize holes went to Mike Porter (closest to pin No. 11), Ehrenfried (long putt No. 14), Aaron Gooding (closest to pin No. 16) and Ken Gooding (closest to the pin No. 17). Gaietto and Reimer, Scott Ferguson and andy Hess and Aaron and Ken Gooding all won a skin.

MILITARY APPRECIATION: There will be a Military Appreciation Night Sept. 13 at the Seneca East-Willard football game. Game begins at 7 p.m. At Willard and veterans from both communities are invited to attend. They will be hosting a dessert and ice cream social in the cafeteria for veterans and their guests prior to the game at 5:15 p.m. where they will be honoring all veterans and giving special recognition to military wives and mothers. Any veterans that would like to attend, should RSVP by calling (419) 964-6439. In addition, there will be a tailgate beginning at 5 p.m. For all community members, with proceeds going towards Honor Flight. All veterans will be included in pregame ceremonies on the field at 6:30 p.m.
