n The team of Steve Benard, Jim Heyman, Norm Blymyer and Ed Lutz shot 3-under par to win Monday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Rufus Tyree (long putt on No. 7), Ernie Price (closest to the pin on No. 2). Herb Love had the low gross with a 35.

n Ken Gooding, Gary Hohman, Dick Hull and Aaron Gooding shot 15 under to win the Bump’s Travel Group outing at Sycamore Springs Tuesday, besting the other 15 teams. Rich Terry, Steve Bernard, Howard Elchert and Tim Mannas finished second at 13 under. John Hill, Ed Otte, Bill Williams and John Englehart had the only skin with an eagle on No. 14. Next week’s outing will be held at Stone Ridge in Bowling Green, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Players should be registered by 9 a.m. Proper dress code is required.

n The Teresa Kessler Memorial Big Cup scramble to benefit Teresa Kessler Scholarship will be held Sept. 8 at the Fostoria Country Club, beginning at 9 a.m. Ten team spots remain. Cost is $200, which includes golf, carts, skins, lunch and prizes. n In the Carmies Monday Night League at Seneca Hills, the team of Scott Ferguson and Rich Terry lead with 117 points. In second is the duo of Bob and Tim Young with 113 points.

PREP BOYS GOLF: Brett Montgomery fired a 4-under 32 and Owen Knapp carded a par-36 Tuesday to fuel Upper Sandusky’s 160-225 Northern 10 Athletic Conference rout of Colonel Crawford. Benjamin Latham backed them with a 45 for the Rams (2-0, 1-0 N10) and Gavin Carey shot a 47. Sam Smith (51) and Mathew Homburg (51) also each played for the Rams. Gavin Feichtner led the Eagles with a 53 and Seth Lohr had a 56.

n Seneca East placed second behind Galion in the Bucyrus Elks Invitational Monday at the Golf Club of Bucyrus. Seneca East shot a 336, which was just two strokes behind Galion. Upper Sandusky was third with a 337. Andy Bauman led the way for SE with a 79, while Jake Forehand added an 81, Andrew Kalb shot an 86 and Turner Bridgford ended with a 90. For Upper Sandusky, Brett Montgomery fired a 74. It also got an 81 from Owen Knapp, an 88 from Ben Latham and a 91 from Sam Smith.

JV GIRLS TENNIS: Gabby Castillo, Amber Fay, Alyssa Eisenhower and Becca Clapp all won matches for Clyde against Fostoria Tuesday.
