GOLF: The team of Kirk Steffani, Casey Breihner, Rex Mellott and Bob Schultz shot 7 under to win the Friday Senior League at Clinton Heights. In second at 6 under was the team of Tom Ardner, Don Hammer, Gary Kroeger and Chuck Wilbert. Prizes were awarded to Kroeger (closest in one on No. 11), Russ Eborg (closest in two on No. 18, long putt on No 12) and Greg Bishop (closest in three on No. 17).

n Jim Peer and Jim Myers won the first 1/3 of the North Division in the Baumann Two-man Scramble Late League at Clinton Heights with a score of 38 ½ points. The South Division was won by Jeff Shuey and Derick McGee with 35 points. Prize holes went to Jim Reinhart (long putt on No. 1), Chris Bentz (closest in two on No. 2), Doug Strausser (closest to pin on No. 5) and Marc Strausser (closest in two on No. 7). Skins were won by the teams on Tom Ardner and Joel Ardner (No. 3), Shuey and McGee (No. 6), and Marc Strausser and Seth Marlowe (No. 7).

n Rob and Tim Ritzler won the first 1/3 of the Thursday Night K of C League season. Prizes went to Ton Arend (closest in two on No. 13), Phil Hoerig (closest to pin on No 14), Tony Latona (long putt on No. 16) and Scott Ferguson (long drive on No. 17). The duo of Joe and Tom Zirger won a skin.

n The Miletti Memorial Golf Scramble is to be June 10 and is to benefit Calvert Athletics. The event is to be held at Seneca Hills with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. There is to be a hole-in-one contest. The driving range is to be available. The cost is to be $60 per golfer. Carmie’s BBQ is to be provided.

SOFTBALL: The Tiffin Catholic beat Sycamore 8-7 Thursday in A-league play. Selah Moyer and Kate Rombach each pitched in the win and both doubled and singled. Frannie Webb slapped a pair of singles, while AJ Hemminger and Madison Wright each had a double. Mara Mangiola and Hannah Welter each had a base hit.

3 PILLAR SUMMER CHALLENGE: A three-pillar summer challenge for K-6 students kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at the YMCA June 4 with youth fitness class available every Monday and Wednesday through August. The first 600 youth attending the Festival of Champions at Tiffin University Oct. 23 during Elite Sport and Culture Week will receive a sport bag, water bottle and picture with an Olympian if they have earned three-pillars from the YMCA (sport), Tiffin Art Guild (culture) and library (education and culture).
