Donna J. Trott, 87, of Republic, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 12, 2014, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville.
On Sept. 26, 1927, in Adams Township, she was born to Henry and Ruth (Hartzel) Snavely. She married Albert C. "Butch" Trott on Jan. 12, 1947.
Survivors include a son, Ron (Chris) Trott of Republic; daughter, Eileen (Arthur) Ostrander of Huachuca, Arizona; two grandchildren, Angie (Matt) Reiter and Ronnie Trott; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce and Karah Reiter and Caden Trott.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years; brother, Gaylord Snavely; an infant brother; a sister, Lorna Cole; and an infant granddaughter, Melanie Trott in 1978.
Donna was a 1946 graduate of Republic High School. She worked alongside her husband and co-owned Al's Lawnmower Shop in Republic for more than 36 years, retiring in 2001. She vacationed in Arizona and enjoyed playing bingo. She especially loved her family and spending time with the grand and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Block Cemetery, Republic, with Pastor Darla Metz officiating. Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bliss Memorial Public Library in Bloomville, where her grandchildren spend a lot of time, or to Ruffing Family Care Center Activities Fund for the residents.
