Mary E. England, 83, of Tiffin, died at 4:37 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at her granddaughter's home in Berwick, which for many years was her home.
She was born September 6, 1930, in Holgate, to Roland and Musa (Warner) Church. She married Harold L. "Doggie" England August 6, 1946, in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death October 24, 1998.
Surviving are five children, Ronald (Cheri) England of Fremont, Steven (Diane) England of Republic, Richard England of Carey, Judy Stockdale of Tiffin and Gloria (Birchard) Valentic of Berwick; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mary also was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Linda Wilcox, Martha Burd and Pamela Harrison; four grandchildren; a brother and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and worked as a laborer at Ameriwood Industries and as a bartender at Bel-Mar Boat Landing, both in Tiffin. Mary loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crafting, playing bingo and cards.
Her funeral will begin at noon Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery near Carey.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service, from 10a.m.-noon, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery near Carey.
