Pauline Anna Batesole, 89, passed from her earthly life Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Bethesda Care Center.
She was born June 26, 1924, in Fremont, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary (Knowles) Meyer. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Fremont and started working at the Farm Bureau's Fremont office. She married Donald "Bud" Batesole July 19, 1947, in Fremont, and recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Bud Batesole; four children, Michael (Judy) Batesole of The Villages, Fla., Barbara (Bill) Reineck of Fostoria, Bonnie Phillips of Reynoldsburg and Phillip (Beverly) Batesole of Fremont; a sister, Pat (David) Beckman of Flemington, N.J; a sister-in-law, Shirley Meyer of Fremont; two grandchildren, Ryan (Casei) Phillips and Lindsay (Patrick) West; and five great-grandchildren, Baylie Pauline, Tucker James and Lily Grace Phillips, and Ryan Patrick and Emma Jane West.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Howard, Gary, Don and Joe Meyer, Marjorie (Richard) Hoffman and Shirley Esker; and a granddaughter, Melissa Ann Phillips.
Pauline will be remembered for her generous heart and strong faith. She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Parish, Fremont. Her family will always remember her strong spirit and loving smile.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, with a vigil at 7:30 p.m., at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St., Fremont.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Road, Fremont, with Father Kenneth Lill officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
