SIAM - A man was taken by Life Flight from the scene of an accident on SR 4 in Reed Township Sunday afternoon.
According to State Highway Patrol, Timothy Call, 42, of Caledonia, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer southbound on SR 4 when it went off the road and struck a culvert.
A boat the vehicle was hauling detached, and the vehicle flipped and landed on its top, according to the patrol.
Call was not injured. He was cited with failure to control, according to the patrol.
Walter Call, the driver's nephew and a passenger, was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital. Another passenger was flown by Life Flight from the scene to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
A call was placed to State Highway Patrol to confirm the man's identity Sunday evening.
Personnel from Attica-Venice-Reed fire, Attica EMS, Bloomville EMS, the county's Echo unit, Norfolk Southern, Seneca County Sheriff's Office and State Highway Patrol responded to the accident. A Seneca County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said it was reported at 3:24 p.m.
Train traffic was stopped as crews worked at the scene, which was located near railroad tracks.
