April 24, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune

COLUMBUS A bill to consolidate the municipal courts in Tiffin and Fostoria was introduced today by State Rep. Rex Damschroder, R-Fremont, according to a release.

"House Bill 141 is the result of requests that came from the city councils and administration officials in Tiffin and Fostoria," Damschroder said in the release. "The bill is a fine example of leaders in our community working together to advance efficiencies for our municipal court system in Seneca County."

HB 141 states the current municipal courts in Tiffin and Fostoria would become Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, beginning Jan. 1. According to the release, an election for the newly created court would occur in November should HB 141 be passed into law. The current court location in both municipalities would remain in operation, it states.
