A 16-year-old boy from Tiffin was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital after he was struck by a
vehicle Thursday afternoon near Sixes Corner.
Lt. Mark Marquis of the Tiffin Police Department said the boy, whose name was not being released because he is a juvenile, suffered non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle driven by Melanie Biller, 58, of Tiffin, on North Sandusky Street north of Sixes Corner, around 3:45 p.m.
Marquis said the boy had darted into traffic and Biller was unable to stop her vehicle in time.
Marquis said the boy is expected to make a full recovery. No citations are expected to be issued, he said.
